  • MNT, defined by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is a “specialized area of nutrition practice that involves the use of individualized nutrition interventions to treat or manage medical conditions and diseases. The RDN often acts as part of a medical team, in various practice settings, such as hospitals, physician offices, private practice and other health care facilities.” MNT is offered in the states the RDN has a current license to practice or state law does not require a license to practice. These states are CA, CO, DC, MD, NC and VA.

  • Groups offer a low cost nutrition support option, community engagement, and more accountability than independent online resources but less accountability than individual nutrition counseling. Groups can be a great addition to nutrition counseling, with UN or another practice, or a sole source of nutrition support based on your needs.

    Uncovered Nutrition offers the following groups:

    • Cooking Support group

      • RD hosts a weekly group conversation around making cooking more accessible and more enjoyable. This group is for those needing a little extra help with anything from conceptualizing a meal to getting it on the table - meal ideas, recipe sharing, menu planning, cooking strategy, grocery shopping, cooking skills, etc.

      • Wednesday 4 pm; $35 per group

    • Recovery Support group

      • This is an RD facilitated weekly group for those needing an extra touch point or those desiring to find an uplifting community and combat the loneliness of an eating disorder.

      • Tuesday at 11 am; $75 per group

    • Eating Intuitively group

      • A cyclical 12-week group that offers a pre-planned curriculum and weekly group discussion to learn to apply the framework of intuitive eating.
